Who Is Behind Valley & Vines?!

Who Is Behind Valley & Vines?!

Where to begin... Let's just start by introducing our owners! We will get to the rest later.
I guess I will start with myself! My name is Danielle Flowers; I am 30 years old, a wife to a Lubbock firefighter and a mom of 3! I was born and raised right here in Lubbock and have been apart of the first responder family most of my life; my dad and brother are also firemen! I've got some fun ideas for my first responder family when it comes to this space so be watching! I love traveling and would take a trip every other week if I could lol.
The beach is my happy place but I love a good trip to the mountains. I always knew I wanted to be a mom and God blessed me with three of the most amazing kids and being their mom is my favorite "job". I got married at 21 and regardless of what lots of people thought at that time it was the best decision I ever made.
I have the best support system with my husband and kids and I can't wait to see where this all goes because of them pushing me to do bigger and better things! I have some big dreams for this boutique and I pray that we get there one day. I know we will on Gods timing of course.
A few fun facts about me:
--I love horses and ran barrels most of my life up until I started having kiddos
--I married my high school sweetheart
--I go by my middle name
A few of my favorite things:
--Color: Purple
--Sonic Drink: Dr Pepper
--Restaurant: Yamagadas OR Picosos- too hard to choose
Hi! I'm Whitney Wood; I'm 24 years old and I was born and raised here in Lubbock, Texas as well and grew up in a family owned horse racing business! My mom is a teacher and my dad does literally all the things when it comes to building stuff or fixing cars. I love having girls days with friends and going on family trips to the lake or the beach. I am extremely close with my family and my nephew Wesson is seriously my most favorite person on the planet.
You can find me at his baseball games most all the time. I love routine and absolutely hate change but I have realized recently that you only live this life once and you have to take steps out of your comfort zone and sometimes it ends up being the biggest blessing. I am looking forward to the new adventure, who knows where it will take us; but I have big plans.

A few fun facts about me:
--I have an unhealthy obsession with Rip from Yellowstone
--I am dyslexic (soooo if you see some stuff misspelled then you know it was me, not Danielle lol)
--I'm single and ready to mingle, know any cute and respectful cowboys? Send them my way please!
A few of my favorite things:
--Color: light pink
--Sonic Drink: ice water with extra ice, I also have an unhealthy obsession with ice
--Restaurant: Caprock Cafe

How did Valley & Vines come to be you ask?

If you are new here Whitney and I met in 2019 when we started working together and we have been friends ever since. I have worked in the boutique industry off and on since 2013 but I took a break to have my first baby and ultimately decided to become a full time SAHM when I got pregnant with my third! I was more of a behind the scenes kind of girl but I would pop on for some live selling every now and then.
I loved working in the industry and after being home for a while I would sometimes wonder if I could start my own but the timing just never seemed right. Whitney started working in the industry as a model and live seller back in 2019 and ended up leaving just recently to try something new and get a change of pace. She is loving her new gig as general manager at CycleBar Lubbock and can't wait to see where she goes there.
BUT there was a part of her that knew she still wanted to be involved in the boutique world. She and I were having one of our many "life" talks one night and I just said, "Well, why don't we just start our own together?". Her response was not yes but "heck yes!" So we went all in head first and haven't looked back. As Whitney and I have been saying lately; sometimes you go through valleys in life but you just have to grow with the vines.
We both have our strengths and weaknesses when it comes to this industry but we compliment each other well and love working together. So many doors have been opened in such a short amount of time for us and even though it sounds cliché it really does seem like this was just meant to be.
So here we are, just as surprised as some of you; starting our own thing with our own dreams and goals and we couldn't be more excited for the future. We've got so many fun ideas up our sleeve that we can't wait to show you. We want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming amount of love and support so far! Stay tuned, we are just getting started.
